End of Western Civilization?

When you are Green you are Growing,
when you stop you rot.
Applies to all life - Flora, Fauna, Man, Economies and Civilizations.
The reason is simple - the world is changing. The Roman Empire stopped producing. For years they relied on importing from the new world - spices, resources, labour, everything.
Most of Europe and the Western World today is exactly the same. Every aspect of production has been outsourced.
Numerous Civilizations have stopped growing and died shortly afterwards.
Mining boom or not, Australia's <3% growth is not even treading water.
The big difference, the only unknown, is that the rate of change is growing exponentially.
