Broad Band Bundle by Bureaucrats

The Internet Revolution is eclipsing the Industrial Revolution.

The internet could solve all our problems – housing affordability, education, credit crunch (will even replace banks)….

The world is changing too fast for bureaucrats, monopolies (Telstra) or Keynesian economics.

The Australian federal government contracted to build the broadband network, then renigged. It would have been in and working now, yet Telstra is now suggesting it will be 5 to 8 years.

Before they get any optic fibre in the ground, it will be obsolete – probably by both wireless and silicon fibre.

Now that Telstra has over-played their hand, they will resort to going wireless to avoid having to loose their monopoly.

There will be cloud mesh technology deployed in darkest Africa before Australia gets pedal power. The richest man in China, NOW, makes solar energy for the world. He studied in Melbourne and tried to start business here, but could not get any research money.
